Why shouldn't I just quit my job and go on assistance? America seems to be going more and more Socialist and what would be the purpose of me continuing to be self sufficient? I am beginning to think it would be best if Hillary would just pay me to watch Jerry Springer all day. When I have my heart attck from inactivity, Hillary will pay for my Health Care also, this is great.

You should visit a few places that are more socialist than the US first, if you haven't already, and then try to imagine what a more socialist US would be like. I'm assuming you haven't been to places like Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Germany... to name a few. If you have, did you realize how well taken care of those places were? The standard of living is way higher, health care if universal (not free, universal just means everyone is covered), and in many cases people pay less taxes.
I'm a patriot, don't get me wrong, but I think its a shame that people perpetuate the idea that social programs are harmful to a society. The US is the greatest country in the world, but it could be much better. In my opinion the best way to gauge the quality of a society is to examine how that society treats its weakest individuals. The US has a long way to go in that regard. Children with no health insurance, mentally ill and elderly people not getting the care they need, the growing number of working poor, rampant illegal immigration....
Have a good one.

Relax. Hillary is just the 'trial balloon' the parties put up early just to see how people feel.

You can call it raciest and anti-feminist but the truth is, America is STILL a country of old, white people with the ideas and beliefs that old, white people have....

Regardless of what people tell the pollsters and how they say what sounds good... when they get into the voting booth, they will NOT vote for a WOMAN or a BLACK.. and that is just the way Americans really ARE and not how they are said to be by the politically correct people in Washington

You apparently don't read history or the more modern history hasn't been written yet. The largest growth in social programs, such as welfare, unemployment and health care for the poor has occurred during the Reagan, Bush, and the next Bush Administrations. Clinton, while in office, actually cut socila programs in an effort to balance the budget. If your looking for a free ride, you need to vote for Rudy.

Well, if we look at Bill's Presidency for past presedence, I would say no. It was under him that Welfare got reduced to TANF (Temporary Aid to Needy Families) which put major restrictions on it.

Also, if you actually read the health care proposal you'd note it has very little to do with socialism.
