There is tremendous wealth in Scandanavia from the North Sea oil fields.

Saudi Arabia is #47 on the IMF list.

Probably not if I'm getting what you are really trying to ask. People in many middle east countries which have large oil deposits are richest. Every person there, even the fast food workers would be considered rich to most americans.

No, Luxembourg is with a GDP of $68800 per capita. The United States comes in at number 6 with a GDP of $43,500 per capita.

Other countries have higher standard of living and higher per capita income, but are much smaller.
