The news has put a spin on the reason for the top 4 Republican front runners not appearing at certain debates.

Is this justified in that it may not be a truly "fair" and impartial debate?

If you were on the campaign trail and people were insulting you right and left on your views, would you want to attend a debate with a talking snowman?

Or two fake hillbillies?

Or go to a debate that panders to a particular race, gender, or creed? We don't need balck or hispanic debates, we need American debates. Besides, these early debates are close to worthless.

Presidential candidates are not entitled to fair or impartial debates. Fair and impartial apply only to criminal proceedings. If a person is running for president, but chooses not to attend debates, they give the impression that they are either not interested in expressing their views, or that they do not have any real views to express.

If you are running for President of the United States, you should. if you are afraid to face a talking snowman or be insulted, how are you going to deal with terrorists...give me a break...do you think Hillary enjoyed being booed at the Daily KOS debate? Probably not, but at least she had the strength to get up there and take it.

they are not attending a debate at Morgan State University, which is 95% black. This is seen as a missing an opportunity to address racial issues/blacks in America, but it is early in the race (no pun intended). In primary season I think the Republicans should worry about getting nominated by their base before reaching out to the bigger audience. The black vote is taken for granted by the Democrats. In fact in Baltimore, where Morgan State is located, the new mayor and city council president were just elected. 2 black women Democrats and they only had to win the primary because Democrats run unopposed in Baltimore, 65% black.

I wouldn't expect republicans to understand the internets tubes and the people who flow thru them.

Republicans are making some bad choices concerning their debates...but then I guess they don't need to pretend they're anything about the people of the USA - they should remain true to themselves.
