A construction company wants to know what I charge per sq.ft. I don't know what to do because I don't want to under bid or over bid. What was told to me that when they need a cleaning company to do new construction clean ups they just ask them to give them the price we will charge per sq.ft. Should I give them price ranges depending on the sq.ft.? for example:
$.01-$.03= 1000 sq.ft. to 5000 sq.ft.

Someone please let me know. Thanks

Call other companies that provide this service in your area and ask for a quote yourself. Just tell them that you have a clean up job of x amount sq. ft. and you need a quote. This way you will get an idea of what others are charging and you can arrange your rpices to be equally competitive to the others.

If you charged $.01 to clean a 5000 sq ft building, that would only be $50, right? Seems low. Are you removing construction debris? If you are, its seems very low.

Maybe you could charge a flat fee plus a price per square foot. Like " $100 plus $.10 per square foot."

You aren't cleaning outside the house are you? That would add to your costs....

well I live in Canada and I was looking around for a cleaning lady they mostly gave me proces by the hour or told me how long the job would be and how much, which you can still divide into how much per hour one however, I believe they told me like $1.61, now more the $2.00 per square feet. hope it would help, if you are still unsure, I know of another trick to get answers, just go to other cleaners, call them or go on the internet, act as if you a customer and ask them how much they would charge for doing a certain place and how much it would be per sqare foot. maybe 5 may be good and once you get five, settle for an average price in between. thats what I would do. :-)
