The dems took over congress in 06 basically on the pledge to pull out of Iraq ASAP. Now, NONE of the DEM front runners say they will get the troops out by the end of their First term. Do you feel at all betrayed by your parties leadership? Why or why not?

Why do cons feel that if you want to bring our troops home. you are NOT a Patriot, or you want us to lose? And is Iraq more/less important than finding OBL and bringing him to justice?

What is your favorite reality TV show? or TV show in general?

Who do you want to be President after Bush??

Thank You!

I am actually happy, because I am conservative. The dems are realizing that pulling out of Iraq would cause great unrest in the Middle East, much more than we have now.

I want to bring the troops home, just like the rest of us. What I don't want to do is bring them home before their job is done. Iraq could be considered more important than finding Bin Laden, because Iraq is an entire nation that is and has been under the influence of radical muslim extremists, although because we're there the jihadists are losing their footing. Bin Laden is probably in a cave somewhere, not able to do much, and close to dying.

My favorite T.V. show is....not sure if I have one...um...The O'Reilly Factor.

Not sure, but maybe Newt Gingrich or Mike Huckabee, or someone who still holds on to their conservative values.

I was very upset to hear the Dems were going to wait until 2013(?) to pull the troops out. This goes against why we voted them into Congress in the first place. Yes I feel I was let down by my party. So they claim they can't do anything about stopping the war b/c they can't get the votes. Well they aren't even fighting to get the votes. At least show the American people who is against their vote to end the war and let Them be put in the spotlight for a change. Since they have been in office I think they had only 1 bill cross Bush's desk about ending the war. They need to do this everyday. The American people obviously spoke, voted for the Dem's to make the change, and they aren't even fighting. Right now it is all about the Dem's and not getting votes. They need to switch the focus over to the Repub's and them not voting to end the war or at least establish a time line for w/drawal.
The Dems are being bullied around. I don't know which Dem I would vote for, for President. At this point, I really don't believe what any of them have to say, except for Edwards and Biden, who are pretty straight forward. Hillary seems untrustworthy and will fall into the Repub. trap and Osama just doesn't have enough experience and will also fall into the Repub. trap. The cons call you unpatriotic if you want to bring the troops home because that is their way of bullying, into getting you to do what they want you to do and that is to support the war. Remember, if you don't think like they do you are in the wrong!

The obstructionist Republicans have prevented the will of the people as the Democrats have been trying to do. Now the Democrats have decided to leave it alone and see what happens between now and January 20, 2009. As they have said before that, while we should start an immediate withdrawal it will take some time to finish. That could possibly be 2 years. A timetable must be set. We don't, of course, need to tell the world and our enemies what that time table is exactly.

There is no such thing as Reality TV. It is all staged. Even on the so called Reality shows there is a producer, director, camera operators etc. Do you think they are going to give up any control? Not on your life. Actually I don't watch much TV but I do like the evening news, Jeopardy and an occasional drama or something on PBS or one of the "cable" channels.

I have not decided on a person for President after Bush, however I do know it will not be a Republican.

I think that there is some skewing of the fact. You cannot say that the large swing of moderate voters to the dems was really based upon the idea of immeidate withdrawal. Generally, democratic candidates promised to rethink the war in Iraq and actually bring accountability into the process: very few pledged immediate withdrawal (I'd make a Larry Craig joke...but eveyone that would laugh already got it).

Was I betrayed? No, didn't vote for them.

I don't know about the cons and patriotism thing...They don't have much else.

No reality TV...its just not very good...all I really watch is baseball on TV.

I would like Obama. It would be the opportunity for a President that would actually think about the world. And I ain't a dem, but he is the only candidate actually thinking about the issues.

I was just thinking of posting a similar question about the Dems. I have been an avid critic of Bush here but the Dems offer no real solutions either. They voted for this war and they cannot say they were duped into it. If they were, then they are too stupid to be our representatives and should be voted out of office for that reason. Unfortunately, I do not think anyone can get our troops out anytime soon. I HOPE that someone has a workable plan for providing stability in Iraq, bringing our troops home, and providing for the DEFENSE of the US. I do feel betrayed by all of our leaders. Not just because of Iraq but because of Iraq, NAFTA, China policy, and a fundamental lack of intellectual integrity.

My favorite TV reality show is Design Star on HGTV.

After Bush, I would like a president that a. has served in combat; b. understands and respects the constitution and c. wants to DEFEND This country and our constitution and not invade others without cause. I don't see such a candidate out there.

As a con, I don't feel that those who want to leave Iraq are not Patriots or that they want us to lose. First, it's impossible to lose as we allready won the war. What we're having problems with is the clean-up. What I am against is the give up mentality that has gripped our nation. Wanting to pull out of Iraq is symptomatic of the mentality that nothing is worth working for. When the going gets tough, give up and go watch TV. No one knows how to see anything through to the end anymore. Why do you think we have such a high divorce rate? We need to stay in Iraq and see it through to the end. Now, does that mean we can't change our tactics? No, that's not what I'm saying. Personally I think it would be more effective to clean up Iraq through economics than military.

Finding OBL is of equal or perhaps slightly higher importance as getting Iraq cleaned up. Osama must be brought to justice

Favorite reality show: Life, Anything on TV aint reality

I'd like to see Ron Paul elected President in 08

You're welcome

I am a Democrat and I pretty much knew we had to stay. I hate it. I hate being duped into going to war, I hate being lied to, but I don't think you can go make a mess and then just wave bye bye. I make my children clean up when they visit their friend's houses before they leave, too. So I feel betrayed by the person who said WMDs, Mission Accomplished, Al Qaeda link, and so on and so on. As far as getting out ASAP...I think we're sunk for at least a decade. Lobster tortellini in the green zone for the generals.

I don't watch any reality shows. My favorite TV shows are the Law and Order ones and CSI.

Exactly which of the democratic front runners are saying they wouldn't pull the troops out by the end of there first time? In being a volunteer for the Obama campaign I can assure you this isn't something he said.

Obama supports a phased withdrawl of combat troops in Iraq.

Favorite TV show, I don't watch tv, heck I don't even own a tv.

I thought the Dems were elected to provide the checks and balances that the Republican, rubber-stamp Congress refused to provide.

Iraq is a quagmire- the worst foreign policy mistake in U.S. history. The Dems knew that going in and they know it now. The quagmire hasn't changed and there are no easy solutions.

The President is still being stubborn about his mistakes. Only a new, non-Republican President and stronger non-Republican Congress in 2008 will really change things.

I don't vote Democrat, if anything the change in rhetoric makes me feel vindicated in my opinion that it is in America's best interest to finish the job in Iraq. Nothing makes a Republican more convinced that they are correct than when a Democrat agrees; no other litmus test exists to get better results.

The terrorists / insurgents / al Qaeda want America out of the Middle East. Coincidentally, so do most Democratic voters. Their goals are aligned, but to different ends: our enemies want a power vaccuum and Democrats want to save our soldiers. Still; their goals are aligned, that's kinda treasonous / anti-Patriotic.

I like The Office, but I rarely watch TV

I like McCain for office, but he has no chance. I don't have a second pick.
