Yes (to a little extent) and no (to a large extent).
Some porn sites (about 1 in every 100) have malware codes fed into them, so they attack your computer with spyware, trojans and other forms of malware when you visit their site. So by refraining from visiting porn sites, you cut down the chances of your computer being infected to some extent.
Porn sites aren't very significant virus contributors. 99% of the viruses arrive with what you download, and not what you surf through. So if you download all the cracks, serials etc., your computer will be as vulnerable to viruses as ever.
The way to prevent viruses is to use an anti-virus with real time protection or real time monitoring feature. If so, it can detect a virus the moment it enters your computer and can warn you immediately. If you don't have an anti-virus, you may get the free AVG anti-virus from

Always keep your anti-virus updated and active. Take care not to use more than one anti-virus, as that can cause driver conflicts.

No. You can get viruses just by connecting to the internet. What you need is a good firewall and and a good anti virus/anti spyware setup. You can get all of those things for free. Unlike other holier than thou people(see above) I will not try to force my opinion and morals on you by telling you what to do. You can still surf porn .

no. the worst thing people assume is that porn sites are what causes spam, viruses, spyware, etc. the reason you get things from there is because it's a high traffic area, and it's where a lot of damage can be done, but not the only place. mp3 sites can get it, too.

Viruses have a large number of sources. Porn sites are well known as offenders but they are not the only source.
Stay off porn sites anyway.

No, but far less susceptible, Download Ad-Aware and run it after each internet connection. Ad-Aware has a free version and you can update it free all the time.
