It's interesting because I have the same question about horror movies and gore. People get conditioned. Look at kids today, they are used to seeing more violence than any of us who grew up in the 80s every imagined they could. They are exposed to way more. People who are exposed to porn in the same manner as people on drugs, won't like it at first, but after watching it over and over they begin to crave that type of sexual experience or fantasy. Then before you know it, that is what starts to turn them on.
They then begin to pass that on onto their significant other. Mostly men like it, but I know many women that like it too. Personally I think it's sickening, because it's empty. There's no love involved witht these people. They get paid a lot to have raunchy sex on tv, filth at best, and call it sexy. Plus most of the porn videos have people cussing as a term of endearment. Which that also is mind boggling that it can turn anyone on.
I know people who have explored porn just to find this very question but it led them to countless hours online looking and looking only to find that it turned them on in some really messed up way and before you know it, those images were flashing in front of them anytime they got close to someone (more than friendship). It became like a virus.
So there it is. Our society is getting used to more and more filth on TV and the internet. We can tolerate almost anything.
Good historical reading about actual events, or good wholesome reading that stimulates the brain and the imagination is what I wish more people would do.
I'm a guy in my 20s though I sound like a 50 year old, I wish more people would do this as well.
A simple short answer to your question? People that have way too much idle time on their hands and a great internet connection are the ones that fall into the trap.

By reading your other questions and answers it sounds like you might be a Christian and I commend you for not being tempted by that filth. I know many Christians who still struggle with that sin and it is very easy to get caught up in that downward spiral.
There is nothing wrong with you if you do not enjoy porn when you know there are other things in life that are more important and a better way to spend your time!

What turns some people on is a turn off to others. Since you have such a negative reaction, I doubt you will ever understand what about it turns some people on. The same way that people who like it will never understand your reaction.
I would, however, stay away from the inference that no 'normal' people could like porn. That is a very judgmental statement.

My husband stopped watching porn when he graduating from college.
I've only seen porn once.....at a bachelorette party.
Both of us think it's silly.......... and the whole time I watched it I kept thinking......what in the world does her family think about her doing that with all those different people?

normal people do enjoy porn.. it is just a distraction from every day life..it is hard to imagine why people would choose to make those movies (i always imagine they do lots of drugs) but come on... an occasional movie isn't going to hurt anyone!! have you ever watch one with your significant other or alone?? usually you only see about 5-10 minutes of it anyway!

Well you me, it IS rather disgusting when I'm not in the mood. But when I am, it's quite easy to enjoy it. And I'm sure at least half the human population would agree.

You have to have a predilection to want to see sex that you can't have.
A lot of males have that.
If you don't, or are asexual, you don't.
It isn't your problem, it is the person sending you links that you don't want.
Click conservatively.

How can people not enjoy it?
How can people enjoy onions? How about the color gray?
People are people and what you deem to be fine is not the same as what others deem fine.
