Trying to figure out the average size monitor people have. My guess is a average of 17 inches. Lets see...

Your guess is correct, I have a 17 inch monitor! I find both larger (20 inches or above) or smaller monitors very irritating.

I have a 17 and two 20 inch monitors. I think the average now is more toward 19 inch.

I have a 15 inch. However I think you're probably right about the average being 17.

Which one?
At work: 3 head: 20" + 20" + 18" All LCD
+ 14.1" widescreen laptop.
At home:
22" widescreen
17" CRT
15" LCD
The wife has a 15" widescreen laptop that we sometimes hook up a secondary 15" TFT to.
I suspect that your median is more likely to be a 19" now.
