Some believe that it is immoral because they believe that sex serves two functions: 1) to consumate the holy unity (marriage) between to people, and 2) for the purpose of reproduction. It is this belief system that brings many to consider pre-marital sex and sex between same-sex couples immoral.
On the other hand, others also believe that it is neither moral or immoral, and is only an act of a living thing - an act designed to fulfill our basic instinct to reproduce and satistfy our sex drive.
Finally, some believe that it is moral, because it can be a selfless act of satisfying another person - in some cases, people see it as an altruistic act of unconditional love. You make someone else feel good without asking anything in return... sometimes.
And then there are other people who add all kinds of conditions to it - is the premarital sex between two betrothed people, is it only to fulfill your personal needs, is it happening without any emotional connection, is anything kinky going on that makes it more or less moral... etc. Ultimately it all depends on your religious and personal beliefs, as noted above.

Immoral, the Bible says so. Pre-marital sex causes a lot of trouble and it's gross. If a person isn't committed enough to you to marry you then you shouldn't have sex.

That's a hard one. In Biblical times girls were married off as soon as they began menstruating and could bear children. The urge in young people to have sex is normal as in days of yore life expectancy was maybe 50 if you were lucky. This biological urge is still with us even though life expectancy is much higher and women get married and have children later. In most religions it is a sin to have sex before marriage but remember, people were married when they were in their teens. So no, I don't think it's immoral, I think it's normal. Ideally, you should wait for that special person and be in a loving relationship which I assure you, teens are capable of having. If their parents are open minded and/or their intelligent they can also have safe sex and prevent unwanted pregnancy and STD's.

Immoral is defined as: 1. deliberately violating accepted principles of right and wrong.
So if you're basing your morality on a religion then yes you could argue that a specific defined principle is being violated.
However, by default since the overwhelming majority of people engage in sex whether they get married or not and science has shown the the drive for sex is stronger than even our drive for food, I'd say no.
Sex is not evil, if fact I'd say its a gift from God.

It depends on the person and what their religious beliefs are.
I don't think that premarital sex is immoral if you love that person and that person loves you and you're in a committed relationship....OH yea and you are over 17!!
lol I just think that individuals under 17 don't really know as much as they think they do.
And to answer Why? Because why would you want to share that experience with someone that didn't love you, you weren't in love with, and it was just a one night thing?? I think that would be stupid.
I don't think it's immoral, because love isn't! As long as it isn't hurting anyone, I don't see a problem.

Immoral. It's one of the seven deadly sins.
Unfortunately, so many people have stuffed up family relationships that they look for the love elsewhere. But it is immoral for the most part. Because people should wait. Make friends and wait for your husband/wife. It's called patience.

I figure it's immoral, unless you know you're gonna marry the person you've slept with.
Also, the rules slip if you've been together for an astounding amount of time.
However, like all those cheap sluts who manage to do so before marriage, pregnancy, problems, and other **** happens, so don't make the wrong choice! I didn't.
