Personally I would ask the same, knowing you were leaving. 3 months is more like a vacation rental then a residential, and it is common to ask for 100% of the rent plus a deposit for a vacation rental.

It depends on where you live. In a bigger city it is common, or near a college. But in a small city it isn't very common. But seeing that it's a short term rental it's more common to pay more. If you're concerned try calling around to see what other peoples rates are.

Yes, because you are only renting for three months they need to insure they get the rent. Normally, if you didn't pay rent it would take them legally three months to evict you. So, since you are only there three months the smart thing to do for the owner of the rental is get all money up front.

I would consider living somewhere else, but if this is the only place that is available within your means, then you're screwed. Understand that when it comes to short term leases, the Leasee is in the driver's seat because they have a short supply high demand ticket.

Yes, i have had people who have dont this before.an di must say, they did like that deal!! Then i have had a young couple, that paid the rent for every 4 months, therfore they only paid their rent 3 big bills a year
