It makes a bubbling sound when I stop at a light and press on the gas. I drive mostly on the highway and use cruise control and don't hear it then. I have driven it about 180 miles since the repair and it has not overheated. What could this sound be?

More than likely you have an air pocket in your cooling system and you can hear the sound coming from the car's heater core. I had the same problem with my car before. To get rid of the problem you need to open the radiator cap, turn on the heater, and "massage" or keep squeezing the upper radiator hose while the engine runs until the air pocket works it's way out. You will see the coolant level go down once the air pocket clears out.

Need to purge the air pockets out. Could be on AC or the Cooling system or both. At high speed the road noise muffle the sound. At idle all is quieter so you can hear it then.
