With all the buzz about the Matrix demanding a trade what team do honestly think would trade for him and what trade makes sense for both teams? I have a few trades I think would work, let me know what you think?

1. Kenyon Martin (if healthy) he would give the suns some much needed toughness inside after the loss to the spurs, but this is probably not too likely because its a western team...this would also help the nuggets and give them a big boost inside...

2. Richard Jefferson, matrix would be a perfect fit for jason kidd, man I could see it now, jason kidd passes off the back board and here comes matrix with the slam....that would be fun to watch..

3. Jermaine O'neal, this is probably the most sensable trade, the player value i say is pretty even here...

I don't think he'll land on the Lakers, the lakers don't wanna win. Besides the Lakers really need a point guard more than anything....

1. Martin if healthy would be a good fit for the Suns. He plays well in an fast game and will help with their inside D. The Suns will lose some perimeter D, but the Suns don't really care about that. I think Marion can play SG in Denver, he's fast enough to guard SG's and with AI and Melo, he'll have plenty of space to launch that 3 of his.
2. I just don't see how it helps either team. Marion will still have to be third fiddle behind Carter and Kidd. Jefferson I think is a downgrade from the Matrix.
3. O'neal will bring inside scoring and defense, but the Suns will have to commit to playing slower if they want to maximize him. I don't think Marion is what the Pacers would be looking for either.

I agree with the first answer but only to a certain extent. My thoughts on each ideas (which I think are quite well thought out especially the fac that Martin and RJ are both adoptted to the uptempo style when they play(ed) with Kidd):

1. I don't think the Suns' biggest concern is where Marion land at this point but like you said, whether Martin's health will maintain. The Nuggets are starting Nene over Martin and that showed Martin is not even close to Marion's value at this point. He is too risky for any team to take on right now. Also, at this point I don't think they would want to move Melo to SG because his strength plays a bigger role in his game than quickness. Marion must play SF if he lands in Denver because they want to develop Nene.

2. That has been a rumor but the Suns lose a powerforward, a position which they really need. RJ cannot play PF and might even run into the chance of getting benched if they want to run with Nash, Barbosa, and Bell. The salaries won't match but again most importantly the Suns do not get a starting PF unlike possible deals for Odom or Kirilenko.

3. Talent and salary wise they are quite equal but their playing styles are quite different. Jermaine is after all don't run as much and I am not sure if Bird wants Marion around neither. As the first answerer said Pacers are looking to go young and Marion would not want to be in a rebuilding team.

I think the Odom trade will be great for both teams, as Odom is a versatile guy who can shoot the 3's and distribute the ball as well as Marion can and he won't be complaining. The Lakers wouldn't mind having adding another all star to the team. They are tired of the failed Odom/Kobe combo and want to move on. Marion and Kobe are personal friends and believe they could work well together (but so did AI and Melo...) so that trade is in my opinion the most possible.

Kirilenko and Marion offset each other in many ways and the Suns wouldn't mind having someone who doesn't rely his game on scoring. Kirilenko is not strong and played a half court game in Utah but those are only minor problems. A trade of Matrix/AK47 is still quite probable but not as high because of AK's choice to play in Europe.

The O'Neal trade is the best trade scenario for the Suns. However, I think Indiana wants to get significantly younger and rebuild, thus I don't think they would take that. The Richard Jefferson trade won't be that great, because Marion is a significantly better player than Jefferson. The Kenyon Martin trade is interesting, because he would fit right into the Suns' up-tempo style. However, they already have a very similar player in Amare Stoudemire. I think Marion for Camby would be very interesting, or Marion for Odom.

The only one of those three is probably Jefferson because Kenyon Martin has had knne problems, and Jermaine O'Neal is more of an inside man.

Martin for the Matrix??? Your crazy he's not worth it... Denver can't wait til Martin comes back and Martin is a perfect match here in Denver with A.I and Melo...Matirx would be better in NJ with Kidd same style of play that the Suns have...

i'm feeling nautious............. No way do not do it. Ginobili and marion score factors get rebounds, each and every so often assists way extra advantageous than martin and okafor. Okafor is okay and martin receives on warm streaks yet ginobili and marion are a lot extra advantageous if not large.

I agree with you on all your points. The lakers really do need a point guard so what do they do they resign Derek Fisher. The only reason why they would make any major trade is to keep Kobe happy because after next season he can (and probably will) opt out his contract become a free agent and sign with Chicago.
