It wouldn't be now, but when I was 5 "Space Mountain" at DisneyWorld was SO scary. I was sitting with my dad and he had to put his hand over my eyes, which is weird because the scariest part was the fact that it's IN the dark and you can't see where you're going.

Well technically it's not a true ride but the Sky Coaster at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom was probably the scariest. The reason being is that you have to pull the cord (ripcord) to release yourself. After you release yourself you drop straight down like a stone and the 1/2 second or so of freefall feels like nothing is holding you in.
For those who don't know what a Sky Coaster is, I've cut & pasted a description from Cedar Point's Challenge Park:
"Guests experience the sensation of flight as they soar through the air on the RipCord Skycoaster at Challenge Park. Flight-suited riders are tethered to a stainless steel aircraft cable and pulled upward from one of the ride's twin retractable launch pads to the top of an enormous 15-story launch tower. Once there, a designated flyer is instructed to pull the rip cord, sending the tethered group zooming down to within six feet above the ground below at speeds of up to an incredible 65 mph! Riders then complete their awesome journey by gliding through a 310-foot-long "zoom zone" before returning safely back to the launch pad. RipCord's high capacity double launch towers accommodate up to six riders per flight."

Dueling Dragons @ Universal Studios Islands of Adventure in Orlando. This is based on sitting in the front row. This is an inverted coaster where the track is over your head and your feet dangle. Sitting in the middle rows is fun, but it's a totally different experience in the front row. There are two coasters running simultaneously, and there are near collisions that occur. One of these near-collisions occur when both coasters are headed right for each other. Just before the collision, your car shoots right up to the sky. I's a pretty unnerving event, and it's a total blast!

The Power Tower at Cedar Point. It takes you 280 feet in the air while you are suspended on the outside of the tower with your feet dangling. It's so high that it's quiet and breezy up there--really erie. You remain suspended at the top and with no warning you drop at 55 miles per hour. I'm really gutsy, but that one had me in a little puddle when it was through.

The x coaster at six flag's magic mountain. It's kind of hard to explain because it's not designed like most coasters. The are placed on the sides of the track and the seats flip around while the coaster's in motion. I felt like a part of me died after going on that roller coaster.

I'd have to say Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. It's wicked scary because you launch like about 400 feet and 200 something mph fast. Tallest rollercoaster in the world, second fastest. It's so tall it has tower lights! It's also supposed to be like a drag racer. 3,2,1 AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Top THrill Dragster at cedar point was deffenetly the scariest. it was the only ride (after i began liking roller coasters) that i was scared to go on. i guess just because it was 420 ft tall, and the fact that sometimes it doesnt make it over and occasionally gets stuck on top just scared the crap outta me. but it was DEFFENITLY worth beign scared. it is now one of my favorite coasters.
