i have a 2000 dodge ram 1500. it has alot of small scratches and marks on it from the previous owner. i was wondering how much it would cost to get it painted the orginal color, nothing fancy, just sand it and paint it.

technical/trade schools that have auto maintenance programs will paint it for much less than professionals. the quality is very good. both my mother and my daughter had their cars painted.

It depends on several things.

1) The cost of repairs and the prep of the car. This is ussually more than the actual painting

2) What quality of paint job do you want? 49.95 or 7K

I would estimate you can get your truck painted as little as $500 and get a good paint job up to 7K. &k for that truck is a waist i would shoot for about 500-1000

My last paint and body was 5K

In southern California, there used to be a guy advertising on TV "Earl Schibe -- paint any car for $49.95." Of course, that was a long, long time ago.
