For some reason when I close out of firefox at night and restart it in the morning the same eight tabs automatically reopen. Its like its restoring a previous session without my permission. How do I get firefox to not restore a previous session? I have even uninstalled and reinstalled firefox, but the same eight tabs get restored automatically.

Double check your setting, Specifically go to the Tools menu and click Options. The main options tab will have your homepage listed. If your homepage happens to have "|" marks in it like this: "http://google.ca|http://yahoo.com|site3|site4|site5|etc"
Then your problem is that those seven tabs are your home page!!! The "|" separator splits your home page into tabs. To fix this problem, go to the page you want as your homepage and hit the "Set as hompage" option, make sure to delete all that stuff from the Options panel, the other choice is just manually edit the Options panel.

Go to the tools menu. Then options menu. Then make sure you have the main tab selected. The very first option should be a drop down list with the options.
When Firefox starts:
Show my homepage
Show blank page
Show my windows and tabs from last time.
Set a homepage, select Show my homepage and click ok.

click the red x on the top of your browser and then when the box pops up tell it yes, then that wont happen it is restoring your previous pages

do you use the the the latest firefox version??? the latest version is better
