Does anyone think that he could ever move teams after Mclaren has keep him under there wing for so long.

I asked this question because someone said the same thing on 5 live during the 1st practice and i thought it would be a good talking point seeing as Mclaren has put so much money into him. So "toughnottobeacynic" i hope that makes the question more clear to your little brain.

As long as the team is happy and he keeps performing well i really can't see him leaving. after all why break up a winning formula. If things go decidedly downhill then i expect he would be like any other ambitious young driver and look for his best option.

through fact Alonso drives for Mclaren and has very own endorsements that he earns money from, i does no longer think of there could be any concern with Hamilton doing an identical. Hamilton has very deep ties to Ron Dennis and Mclaren. And he's merely beginning out in formula a million. those 2 data will shop him at Mclaren for right here couple of years a minimum of. in spite of the shown fact that, Senna additionally had deep ties with Dennis and Mclaren, as have many others. interior the top, the two Hamilton or Mclaren will very almost certianly prefer to bypass yet another direction in some unspecified time interior the destiny. in all hazard no longer for numerous years, and there is often the available if no longer likely hazard that they could stay conencted for Hamilton's finished profession.

No he will not. He is a McLaren product, and no more likely to leave than if, say, a piece of brake duct or a suspension arm suddenly grew a personality and decided to go be installed on some other team's car.

I've wondered this before. I think after a few years it will be good for him to go to another team for a different experience. If his whole career in F1 is in just one team then that's a bit silly. I think after he accomplishes all he can in McLaren, he should consider driving for another team but it would be weird for him to leave after being there for soooooo long

Why would he? I wouldnt!

There aren't many relationships like this in F1 anymore, one of genuine respect between constructor and driver- Chapman and Clark, Stewart and Tyrrell, on a more contemporary level, Schumacher and Todt and Williams and Mansell.

There are too many automons in this sport, see Schumacher, R at Toyota and the phalanx of faceless engineers called a team. Irrelevant how hard nosed and cynical this sport may have made you, Ron must be pretty chuffed to have picked a young lad from obscurity and watch him be brilliantly dominant is pure motor racing gold.

Eventually yes. He won't be expected to hang around the same team forever. He's still young and has a long way ahead of him. Do youi expect him to stay there for what? 10 years? I don't think so.

He'll be getting offers from other teams. He'll also be wanting a change of environment. It will also depend on his relationship with Ron Dennis and several other factors. But it looks like he'll be with them for a few seasons. After that, it remains to be seen.

Hamilton has repaid his debt to Mclaren this season in publicity alone.
He should feel no obligation to stay. But, he would be foolish to move too soon. If the car is a winner stay with it.

He's safe as long as Ron remains the CEO. He's Ron's baby (as Montoya so aptly put it) and Ron wants the credit for actually discovering someone rather than just building great cars for drivers who were already stars.

If Ron got bought out the special relationship would be over. Hamilton would join the ranks of "normal" drivers who have to perform to keep their drives and McLaren would join the ranks of normal teams, which have to produce a car to match the aspirations of their drivers.

Hey!
Why don't any of you just get it!? He is engaged or having a serious affair with the daughter of one of the main guys in the BoD of Mclaren!!!!
They wont throw him away!!!
And anyway, they will have hardly any money next year for innovations and will most probably loose....guess Lewis will have to go down with them...
