Yes there is. People who think you have to be a certain weight and look to have friends and to have a boyfriend or girl friend.
I was talking to a family members son and he all he talks about is his flash car and his expensive nights out as if i should be impressed and he thinks you have to have a life style like his to be able to have a girl friend as in his words 'all girls like a flash car and lots of money and a good looking boyfriend' i just had to laugh this is a wrong perception of women not all want this most want are settled relationship with someone they can trust and be happy with not materialistic things.
What makes me laugh is he is 30 and single and I'm 18 and I'm in a long term relationship and i will be moving in with my boyfriend soon and we are not going to have alot of money but we will be happy as we are together. As for the family member he will always be searching for happiness in the wrong place.

Yeah, i can almost guarantee that girl hasn't graduated yet, and if she has, then she has some issues!! To answer you're question, yes there people out there that think looks are the ultimate value of a human. For proof take a look at any high school, you will find that the popular people, and jocks tend to adopt this philosophy more than anybody. They feel blessed to be good looking, and liked, and have so many "friends". It's actually really sad they seek out other people to justify there very shallow, and empty way of life.

Yes it seems like a very shallow thing to say. But you must also realize that in our current society a great deal of regard is placed upon looks, therefore it is not very shocking to see people who think that they are better than others for this simple and rather irrelevant reason.

they probably just want us to know that they are slim, have nice hair, and took the question as an opportunity to point these things out, draw attention, i have noticed that the new generations (and it's not their fault, it's how the world around them functions today) place a lot of importance on looks, physical appearance, it's a whole market that makes huge money, and they have been dragged in its wheel

As shallow as it may seem, yes there are people who actually believe people like them because of their looks.

I got you this time, Mrs America :)
In Egypt, we don't use feet and inches for measurements, we use meters and centimeters
