I'm having a hard time choosing between the psp or the ds...
I like games like locoroco, GTA, NFS but all my friends are saying I should get the ds lite because I'm a girl and it suits me more...
But I've tested both and the ds lite looks so crappy(atleast to me)and cheap (well, it really is $100 cheaper than psp)
I already have an ipod video so i don't need the media functions the psp have, I just wanna play QUALITY game!! However, the psp games are more expensive!! and most people say the games in psp won't be as many as ds lite

FYI... nintendo ds lite, $219 + Ratatouille game
PSP slim & lite, $275 + Pay another $30 for 2 games=$305
Okay sorry If u think I'm giving too much information... lol....XD

I have the same exact problem that you have right now. I have an ipod video already, so i don't need some of psp capabilities. However the psp lite is very attractive and newer than the ds! It is true that there aren't many good games for the psp but psp still looks alot better than ds lite. Maybe you can try to get a dslite on like for sale and buy the psp first. Plzz, your friends are just jealous and all that. Try getting a psp and then get the ds lite on sale, bc partially I am scared of buying something old like ds lite since a new gameboy higher than ds might come out.

I love LocoRoco! ;D

Psp slim is not 275$ it's only 199.99 USD. You can buy a Ice Silver Daxter Entertainment Bundle Pack for $199.99 which comes with a Daxter game, a family guy umd, a memory card, charger, etc. The original psp would cost about $160. And the final fantasy psp slim is $399.99 because there are only 80,000 units available & people are willing to pay.
Ds lite is $175.00 at costco with a game and case.

So the price difference is nothing. Nitendo Ds has more children friendly games, or what might be better or girly games in your opinion. You could always hack your psp to play ds games like Super Mario bros if you are up to it.

If you just want the console for the games, then get a ds lite. No point in getting a nicer looking console if you can't play the games you want on it.

Hi, I've got a Nintendo DS Lite- and it's pretty awesome. And it's not cheap quality, or brand at all. I would say go with the Nintendo...my fav games on it are

Pokemon Diamond
Nintendogs
Mario Kart
Super Princess Peach
Yoshi's Island...

Nintendo is awesome, and it is cheaper but is still the same quality of PSP- and like you said, you don't want all the technical stuff. Plus the DS has a touch screen, and a microphone and it's pretty cool ^_^

Anyways, your decsicion in the end- but (to me) it really depends on the types of games you can get.

Good luck =]

Go for a DS lite.

It has more games, much more fun to play with and since you have an Ipod Video the extra features of PSP are lost on you.

So its more sense to buy a DS

in case you purchase a psp and love nintendo video games then which would be a undesirable selection for a nintendo fan! i think of youd greater useful purchase a ds or you will sense sorry approximately it once you purchase a psp and desire you may desire to be working around on exhibit screen with mario or link :) battery existence is a lot longer on a ds besides and the equipment is a lot greater affordable than a psp so greater useful fee for money. maximum folk have a tendency to believe that nintendo video games are often basically for youthful game enthusiasts, in spite of the shown fact that it isnt authentic, merely as disney videos may well be enjoyed by skill of the full relatives and not basically the lil' kiddies.. Nintendo dont get voted in extreme console magazines as having the excellent video games of all time for no longer something (great mario sixty 4, zelda ocarina of time, link to the previous, i'd desire to bypass on). of direction, the lad/bloke gamer who isnt too extreme along with his gaming and basically needs to play the occasional racing call for a pair of hours a week on an identical time as reading loaded magazine over a pint will continuously decide for the psp, yet on the full would be lacking out on some great nintendo titles. the gamer that likes to have a pint on an identical time as reading loaded magazine and end that final point of mario is for this reason the appropriate gamer and basically thank you to be! Lol. Dont forget approximately the ds could additionally play gba video games so there are hundreds of video games to make a call from in comparison to the psp

They are both good, nintendo games do look like crap but they are rather fun nontheless. I have a psp and if you wanted to play nintendo games you could easily download an emulator on to the psp and play any old nintendo game you want. Psp is just like a computer so you could do whatever with it. The graphics are very good, much better than ps1, and close to ps2. I like it, but yea it is a bit expensive. You can download psp games/movies from the internet as well, you just need a bigger memory card.

Well... The DS is the better handheld if you're looking for quality games...; Don't get it just because your friends say it suits you...

IMO, The PSP serves more for media purposes, but there are a few games worth mentioning, like Ratchet and Clank, and others...; However don't expect many games to come out for it...
*Sorry, I can't remember the other games' names...

The DS has much better games though, that are fun to play...
Like the New Super Mario Bros, and others...

=p
Also, why are you getting Ratatouille?
