Hey, just wondering if any other women out there experienced nosebleeds a LOT during their early pregnancy. Personally, I'm thinking I might be pregnant and 3 days ago (exactly 7 days before I'm supposed to start my period) I started getting nosebleeds like crazy day and night. I mean, I'm just wondering if some women have ever had these maybe a week before missing their period and finding out they were in fact pregnant? I've heard this is actually a common pregnancy symptom and it baffles me. So anyone with this experience, please share. Thanks!

YES it happened with me. Just before the week i did a home pregnancy test I had a stuffy nose which ended up bleeding. Something was telling me that i could be pregnant and the home pregnancy test immediately showed a positive result and then i knew that the stuffy nose bleeding was due to this.

So yes i was one among those nosebleeding case that turned to be pregnant. LOL

Wishing you good luck :-)

Yes, I did! It wasn't until later on in my pregnancy, though. Every pregnancy is different. It very well could be a sign of pregnancy, but I wouldn't rely on that symptom alone.

In the case that you are pregnant and you are starting to experience nosebleeds more frequently, try using a humidifier. I also found that putting vaseline on a cue-tip and inserting it in my nose, helps to prevent the occurrence of a nosebleed. Just try to avoid sneezing with your mouth closed and up your water intake. Make sure to lean forward, not backward, the blood can drain down your throat and cause nausea.

Also, if the nosebleed doesn't let up, try holding the nostril that the blood flow is coming from, for about 5 - 10 mins. If it still doesn't let up, try calling your doctor.

Yes, it's tue that being pregnant can purpose nosebleeds. Taking one other 250 mg of diet C (along with your practitioner's k), plus consuming tons of diet C-wealthy meals, would possibly support beef up your capillaries shrink the threat of bleeding. Sometimes a nosebleed will comply with overly vigorous nostril blowing, so convenient does it. To stem a nosebleed, sit down or stand leaning moderately ahead, as an alternative than mendacity down or leaning backward. Using your thumb and forefinger, pinch the discipline simply above your nostrils and beneath the bridge of your nostril, and maintain for 5 mins; repeat if the bleeding maintains. If the bleeding is not managed after 3 attempts, or if the bleeding is common and heavy, name your practitioner.

oh yes! I got at least two a day. My mom told me to get a cool mist humidifier for my bedroom. It was amazing how well it worked! I found a decent one at Target for $40 and I put it right by my bed. The nosebleeds stopped almost immediately. If I forgot to turn it on- at night, I would wake up with a nosebleed. It never failed. It is pretty quiet, actually it creates a little white noise now, I can't sleep without it! I think it helps my daughter out when she's stuffy too (crib is in our room... when she's stuffy I put it closer to her).

I had a perpetual nose bleed during my pregnancy (not running, dripping out, of course). It's from the estrogen, that makes your mucus membranes more engorged with capillaries.
