I have a few days off including today, and have had the heating on all day! Still my feet are freezing! I try to open the french windows on to the garden in the morning in the mistaken belief that if it's sunny then it must be warm, but I have to give up and close them in the end.Never mind, Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness and all that.

I remember well my earlier car scraping days. Here in Carolina it's still quite warm though. I have the a/c on right now and sleep with a fan going at night. I'm afraid we're going to miss fall this year and I just love it.

I'm definately not a senior, (just had to get that in), but I have got my central heating on. I try to keep it off as long as possible for the planet's sake, and wear jumpers, even a coat. But in the end it's too cold and it goes on. I always switch it off when I'm not cold anymore, when I go out and all night it's off.
Can't drive my car at the moment, it off the road, but I noticed frost on my house back windows yesterday. And the wind is bloo*dy cold.

Central heating has been on all year this year, on a timer so only comes on when we're in the house, and also on a thermostat, so it was turned down so if it ever got to that temp (which it did, can't remember exactly what, but hey, British summer this year was particularly pants) it would come on but not otherwise.

And why seniors? Do you mean senior citizen? I'm 36!

In Southern Ontario ,Can. we are having cooler nights and mornings but our heat is not on yet. the days can get quite warm and some days we need a sweater. I use an electric blanket and had it on all night last night. I slept like a baby.

Yes, we've already turned on the heat a few times. There has definitely been frost on the pumpkins a few mornings too! Although, we are having some beautiful fall days now as the leaves are turning color here.

I've had my central heating on at some point almost all of this year. Couldn't give a damn about the expense or climate change - anyway, I thought it was supposed to be global warming? Where was summer this year? Feels more like global cooling where I am in the UK.

Maryland mountains are humid this a.m. with a bit of rain possible. Warm weather is still holding on here. The A/C still is doing its job, but I have no control over that, the owner of house does.
My hands are starting to ache a bit so know winter is not far off.
