I would say less than 5 percent. If your an athlete, you have to be able to avoid this kind of stuff unless you have really thick skin. I would think that most just avoid it anyway.

It depends upon the athlete's personality. I think there are some who care entirely too much and read into things too much and develop kind of a self depricating personality disorder (see McNabb, TO, etc), but I think these athletes are few and far between. Honestly, it's better for them if they don't - less pressure, less criticism - it let's them just play the game. Clearly Rex Grossman doesn't read it - did you see the thing on SI.com yesterday? He was "shocked" that he was benched! lol

absolutely, positively zero.
if they DO take the time to look (which i HIGHLY doubt), i assure you that they do it for entertainment purposes. if ANYONE (including pros) take anything on Y/A seriously, you have issues. it's just a resource.
if anyone thinks that pros do, i want to know who the pro is, and why they do it. they should be more concerned about their skills.
shoot, the only reason why i come on here, is cuz there are lulls at work, and i'm chained to this desk. it's definitely not for factual information. rather, for perspective.
ok, being a "pro" snooker player or pool player doesn't count. or handball, etc. chad, i don't know what type of pro "athlete" you are. but i'll play the naive card and believe you. i won't diss you. but i'll be willing to bet that no top - 4 sports (MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA) actually come on here. if they do, they don't take it seriously. and they aren't very good, cuz they should be practicing.
chad if you ARE a top- 4 sport athlete, which team? 1st string?, 2nd string?

the majority don't read or listen to NFL experts......so i am guessing they don't even care about what the fans say... and i think it is right. they should just practice and win each week....

My cousin has looked at it. I told him about gettin on here and talkin trash. He thought it was pretty cool but he don't like me using his name too much. He ain't got no whole bunch of time to be on a computer and when he does he usually messes around with my space. That's how we all communicate.
