I personality like to track animals in the snow, beyond that, sit in front of a fire with a hot cup of chocolate & watch that white stuff come down.

I love to drive around, listening to christmas music, and looking at all the beautiful light displays. It realy puts me in the mood for the holidays!

Other than that, I agree with you.... sitting in front of the fire, warm cup in hand, watching the snow blanket everything. It is beautiful.

When it is really cold outside, I end up making cookies, cakes and candy, getting them ready for gifts. I also make at least one quilt a year and sometimes two, they are for gifts as well.

When the snow flies, I make snow ice cream. I noticed that there was some recipes on here for that. Here is the one that I have for my snow ice cream:

I use pudding, it can be chocolate, vanilla, etc any flavor that you like. In a mixing bowl, fill it with snow, sprinkle all of the pudding over the top of the snow, mixing it slow with the mixer, slowly add liquid cream or half and half until the "ice cream" is the thickness that you want it to be. Once you get it to the thickness that you want, put in it containers in the freezer and eat it when you want ice cream. The pudding makes the snow ice cream have a very creamy texture like ice cream does in the stores, plus you can make it what ever flavor you want with the pudding.

We don't get much snow here, so I love to go visit my family in WV and take a walk in the snow and maybe build a snowman. Then we come back into the warmth and eat some good home cooked food and have a cup of that hot cocoa.

There is nothing more satisfying when the snow is flying than curling up with a warm blanket and crocheting or knitting in front of my tv/fireplace . It almost seems warmer when you can hear the crackling sound of logs burning. I am not a winter person so will hibernate until warmer weather.

Walk through the woods with the dogs while the snows falling, its so quiet and peacefull, till the dogs decide to go nuts and play wildly in it. lol.
Like you I also like to sit in the firelight with a hot chocolate and watch the Snow. But having said that I hate it when it all turns brown and slushy.

California is fairly seasonless - other than the grass is green in the winter and brown in the summer, hard to appreciate any difference. Having come from the east coast however, I do NOT miss that white stuff ~ not for one second.
