Yes, in my opinion that would be fine, unless the couple or family was strict in some cultural or religious way.

It depends on the morals of the parents ( assuming it's the parents house where you will be staying ). It's time to discuss this matter with your other half -- one of you will know what the parents will think ( because you do not say if it is your parents, or your other half's parents ).
