Until Kobe can show that he can lead his own team to multiple championships, MJ will always be the best. Kobe may have surpassed MJ in terms of scoring prowess, but basketball is a team game. At the end of the day, is what you can do with all your talents, the rings on your fingers.

Who has the most rings? Kobe needed Shaq. Jordan could lead a team of no-names to the top and did. Kobe will never win another championship without at least 1, and maybe 2, other superstars. It isn't even close.
Also, it's no secret around the league that no one with any talent wants to play with briant. He is a ball hog and an egomaniac. The Lakers put out feelers to trade briant and NO ONE was interested. He is a pariah.
