Hello CoRaLreeF,
I believe the answer is simply, for some people it is 'human nature'
I know a couple of people who are generally quite miserable, but when they succeed in insulting someone or putting them down to the point the person hurt shows it, the miserable so and so's suddenly start smiling and enjoying themselves.
Personally I feel sorry for these sad people. I feel it is much better and rewarding to be nice, helpful and caring.
These nasty, sad people don't know what they are missing.

Nasty people get off on being nasty - it makes them feel powerful.
As to why they don't get help for it - probably because on some level it works for them in getting what they want or getting away with things. Do they even realise they are being nasty?

I think most people that are nasty do not even realise that they are being so.
It's not until someone takes the time to tell them that their attitude stinks that they may reflect and get help.
If we care enough for a person we will let them know in no uncertain terms that they are being a pain the BTM.

Happy, emotionally stable people don't stick their nose in others business to do harm. I have learned a reserve that allows me to observe the temperment of others before I am too friendly thereby seeming too naive. Creeps don't like happy people. Save your good mood for honey because vinegar will not appreciate it. Kindness antaganizes them unless they are the recipient. Some people view the world in two groups, chumps or bitches, and if your easy going pleasantness is not harming them they might want to dump on you just for fun, if you stick up for yourself you are labeled a *****. Avoid these people, I have a neighbor who antagonizes the neighborhood with his loud music and when you call the police on him then he is trying to say good morning to you later like nothing happened. When he does that to me I don't answer, I don't turn around and don't acknowledge his presence. If he gets obnoxious or pushy he will have visits from the police. They soon learn. Not your problem if his mommy was mean to him or her when they were young. They need counseling like you said. Tell them that once and back it up with a police visit if they don't avoid you. Avoid confrontation without the police or courts as a witness. Protect your own safety at all times.

They don't know they are nasty, they think they are OK. If they think that they won't get help will they? Don't worry about them, they are happy in their own miserable world. Being happy is the greatest revenge you can have on someone who is nasty by nature - so get even and be happy!

Generally it is because this person feels the need to dominate i think that it could stem from poor self esteem that results in the person acting out much like a child, however it could also stem from other areas such as being abused themselves and it not being resolved also the extent of aggression could be many things (mentally ill)extreme but do you see what they see?a very broad explanation but maybe gives you another perspective

"poor nasties"
I think that is a sign of compassion? I agree with pitying those that feel the need to be nasty

pride .. or maybe those nasty ppl are just nasty because they were nice once and other nasty ppl or the world itself made them how they are
maybe they deliberately want to get caught as a cry for help ... but they end up getting tricked and fcucked by the system anyway ... so they become twice as nasty
... dunno maybe thats it .....
