To find the right answer look up cohabitation and you will find that there are several states where it is illegal for couples to cohabitate without being married.

Not specifically. But there is case law and §568.020 R.S.Mo. which address cohabitation rights under certain circumstances.

EDITED BASED ON ADDITIONAL INFO:

THe additional facts represent a similiar but not exact situation. WHAT were you on probation for and was there a child involved in the living arrangment. If so, then the court had every right to withhold permission from your living there but she is the child's mother and not suseptable to the same orders.

So, even more information is required.

BY THE WAY: If she is asking for support (either spousal or child) then RSMO 452 allows for 'all assets available to either party...' in deciding on the level of support. So, if you want to get even, prove she is living with someone then include that person's income in the support calculator.

I don't know about Missouri, but I do know that Alabama and Mississippi have such laws. They are not enforced. It doesn't really matter what laws are on the books. It all depends on what laws the government chooses to enforce. That's why there are still laws about horses being restrained on a particular side of the street.

Most states still have laws against adultery that require jail time or worse punishment. There are also still laws about residing with people who have diseases that at one time didn't have cures.

yes ..the Laws of God..and i guess this Law can be found even in Missouri...

Why would a man and a woman stay together if they don't want to be married as soon as possible..?

Wish that law exists. It makes no sense to me when seperated spouses can live as man and wife while they are not divorced and yet, if they got married before they are divorced it's bigamy and it's illegal.

A "law" I find this hard to believe. There may be a law that says it no longer recognizes a common-law marriages but, I don't see how they can tell you who you can and, cannot live with. I just don't believe this, what is your proof of this please.
