Well if that is a Real Serial Number it would be a Regular Army Enlisted Man.

Serial # start off like so

1-Regulars
2-National Guard
3- Draftees
O-Officers

the second digit tells the Geographic area. The person came from the 2nd Corps area who Enlisted after July 1, 1940.

Is the tag:

German.

British.

American.

or what??

American tags normaly carried a NAME.

German tags also had a name.

and British tags as well.
