At this moment everything is still in my home. The low hum of a lone fan is all that I hear. The sun shines outside in the rural area of the south where I live. I'm so lucky not to have to work but so unlucky not to be able to work. My age of 55 or being a woman has nothing to do with my inability to work but Rheumatoid Arthritis does.

I am listening to the sounds of the birds singing here in the Ozark Mountains of Missouri. I will soon be 57 and it is obvious from my user id that I am female. I am a retired RN and enjoy the peace and quiet of living in the country far away from traffic and noise of the city.

I hear my notebook's little fan whirring and the ticking of my clock. My stomach just gurgled. I'm a middle-aged, female Canadian artist and writer. Oh, a Queen Street streetcar just went by outside!

It's very peaceful and calm in the big city of Toronto.
Ciao.
