Why does God allow innocent children to suffer from birth defects, illnesses, etc.?
Why doesn't God at least prevent damaging tornadoes, hurricanes, etc., from killing babies?
Why did He allow Hitler to rise up and why did He not stop the horrors of the Holocaust immediately!?
Why doesn't He heal those who have devoted their lives to Him when they ask for help?
Why does one have to have some serious malady like cancer to "feel that God is close"?
Why are we here? Why did He create fallible beings anyway?
If He wants us to believe in Him, why doesn't He make Himself a little more obvious?
Why are "answers-to-prayer" closer to just the "turn-of-natural-events" than some intervention by a God?
Why should those who follow God experience death? Why doesn't He just "take them" like He did with Enoch?
Why would God send anyone to a burning Hell if He "loves the world" as it says in John 3:16?

you have a small worldly view that cannot come close to the view that God has of eternity. it's all about you and what makes you upset, isn't it?
your list is waaaay too long, but i'll take a stab at it.
1. God doesn't see defects like we do. we are judgemental and unkind to those who are different. God loves us in all of our imperfection and sees each one of us as perfect - always. maybe you need to work on your attitude towards the handicapped and the terminally ill?
2. the hurricane/natural disaster whining. easy. tomorrow is not promised to ANYONE. maybe you need to make sure that every day that you breathe, you are grateful and make the most of it.
3. hitler unified the world against him and taught us not to turn our faces away when evil rears its head. millions of jews died because we (you and i) were apathetic and allowed him free reign to murder. we've done it time and time again, haven't we? what will it take for us to stop these butchers in their tracks? whining like this?
and that's all i'm going to say...if you don't see yourself as God's solution to these problems then you are truly dead in your spirit. i see what God has done and i look for what he is trying to tell me...and you...not every lesson learned is a pleasure...sometimes we need to get slapped before we cut the crap...

Uhhm....I don't really think there's a good answer to that, I mean if I say that there is no god then people will say, "well, your an aethiest." on the other hand If I say that maybe god is just testing humanity, then people say, "Well, your delusional and way to religious." Personally I'm not religious, and I don't really believe in God like that....Does that mean I'm aethiest, or does that mean I hate people that do believe in god..?? No not at all, I think people have the right to believe in what they want to believe dude. In the end I think it's all about things like religion, and god giving people hope to kinda' be able to make it through one day, and on to the next. Stuff like that, like the bible and god might give people something to live for as opposed to living a life for nothing, without purpose....the stories in there might just be stories....stories that help people live better lives and that's it....nothing more nothing less, just made up stories with morals. But then again I could be totally wrong, maybe their is a god and he is just testing humanity and there is a heaven and a hell....I dunno' does anybody. It's all about living in the now and not in the then or the when....actually you know, I don't think I really answered your question..sorry dude. lol....I hope this was helpful anyways..

These questions I also ask. In my opinion, God does not control the world. He only watches us. We are the ones who make our lives and future. There is no such thing as a plan of God. He gave us freedom so that we choose to live the way we want.
edit:
How did I came up with these answers?
If God was able to control the world, this would mean that we are worshiping an evil God which isn't the case. We are only people that God has given freewill so that we may choose the path to him. All our struggles in the world is not a result of God but of man and of nature. God's gift to us are the talents, intelligence and strength to become a somebody so that we may find meaning and fight all these struggles. My philosophy of God is very hard to explain...

If you truly read and study the Bible with an open mind, you will get all of your answers there. But with that last statement you made about it being evil, I don't think you really want an honest answer. Why ask a question if your mind is not open to all of the answers you will get? Your mind is made up, so what does it matter to you what someone else thinks.

This is the same god who did awful things to Job. Read his story and you will get an insight into your question. You must remember when these stories where born the world was a different place. Personally I choose to believe in something more close to home than the system that originally belonged to a small midlle eastern tribe.

From an atheist perspective none of the things described in your various questions could possibly be God's fault.
Strictly speaking, if you do not believe that he (or any other deity) exists, then you cannot blame him for doing/failing to prevent any of these things.

Vanessa, I feel so sorry for you. You are so confused & bitter.
Don't be angry. You are free to believe what you want.~~~
It's your choice honey.
I happen to believe the opposite of you.
I am not angry or ranting because you don't believe.
Why do you suppose that is ?? ~~~~~~
