i can understand what you are going through. my boyfriend stays on the road with his work at least 8 months out of the year. there are alot of circumstances that go along with situations such as these. yes you should expect her to call and let you know whats going on her way. the telephone is your line of communication. if a relationship hits a speed bump where there is no communication, then it leaves questions. whats she doing? whos she with that she cant talk to me? did i not knowingly do something to make her mad? express to her that you feel uneasy about this. dont wait and let it build up. i have a theory that "we deserve what we tolerate". also, if she felt like you might go a littl psycho if she wanted to go do something, she may be avoiding the situation until she is done and just risk the consequences later. let her know you feel uncomfortable. tell her it made you feel so weird that you got on yahoo! answers for help from total strangers!!!!!! no, dont do that! it might freak her out. but do express your concerns. you are half of the equation and deserve to get as much out of this relationship as you put into it.

You are right to be concerned, and if she knows you'll be expecting her call, she should let you know not to expect it, but no, you don't necessarily have the right to know where she is. Don't panic yet. Leave a message asking her to call you, and if she doesn't call by morning, try again. I'm sure she's o.k.
P.S.- Perhaps she took a nap earlier and turned off her ringers to keep from being disturbed. I do this sometimes and forget to turn my ringer back on. Later I have a voice mailbox full of angry, worried messages.

Well, if shes your gf , then i think it would be considerate for her to at least leave you amess. or something to let you know shes going to be out doing something, and wont be around to get your call. it doesnt have to be like shes checking in with you, its just being considerate of your feelings so you dont worry about her , there are some pretty crazy ppl lurking around dorms, waiting for young girls to let their guard down. I mean its not to much to ask is it, for just a little consideration?

You shouldn't expect this from her, however it is a sign of mutual respect when a couple does let eachother know where they are going to be. That's just how I feel about it. I always let my husband know some how, my calling him or texting him, if I go anywhere while he's at work, or if I make a stop before coming home from work myself.

I figure it's a matter about trust. Learn to trust her and you'll be less paranoid. Keep her on too short a lease and she'll feel stifled. It works both ways because you probably also do not want her to track your every movement.
That being said, since you mentioned that it's a daily event, it's not unreasonable for you to feel worried.

Don't worry about it happening just once. Anything could have come up. It's not worth getting an ulcer over. If it starts to happen more often, talk to her about it, give her some room.

There may be a good reason. God forbid you get mad, and she went to the emergency room with a friend!! Why don't you just ask her what happened, and figure out what to do when you know.

How long have you been together? Would she want to know if it was the other way round? Just ask her nicely, and I'm sure she'll tell you where she was at.
