Here is the info already provided:

Ok, my TV doesn't have the video inputs on it so I'm using a converter box. I have the converter box connected to the TV with a cable. Then I have an antenna connected to the converter box. It works fine, so I was assuming the converter box works.

So then I got my new dvd player and used the video input connector that came with it. I hooked it up from the back of the dvd player to converter box. Everything is plugged in and I've checked and double checked. I even poured over the directions, and I don't normally even need directions. I'm decent with electronics...

What is wrong? Why won't the picture show on my tv? The dvd player is not inputting to the tv. Sigh. Please help!

P.S. I'll gladly im with someone who can help me out on this one. On yahoo I'm queen_spader. Thanks.

AND HERE IS THE DISCUSSION SO FAR:

Well, the first thing is to check that you connected the AV cable connected to the right ports on the DVD player. Sometimes it's easy to get the cable in the wrong port.

Assuming all your cables are plugged in the right way, the RF converter you've plugged the DVD player into should have a switch for channel 3 or 4. Make sure you're using the right setting.

AND...

Looks like you are connecting both an antenna and the composite video (yellow) to the same box?
Both are connected via a single cable to the TV.

How does the TV know which input to select? (Video in or ANT)? See if there is a switch in the box, or disconnect the antenna.

Ok, I tried switching between both channels 3 and 4. Then I tried disconnecting the antena from the converter box. But it's still not working. Looking at the directions, there's a part that says this:

"Do not connect a VCT, etc., between your TV and the player. If you pass the player signals via the VCR, you may not receive a clear image on the TV screen. If your TV has only one audio/video input jack, connect the player to this jack."

Does this mean that if my TV doesn't HAVE audio/video inputs that I just can't CONNECT this dvd player??

I tried what you said too Kay. Wish I could say it worked. This is so frustrating...

The instructions tell you not to try to copy the signal (with a VCR) out of your player, because of Macrovision copy protection.
However, this should be no problem for you. You are perfectly OK to use an RF modulator to feed the TV with a DVD player.

It might be something as simple as pushing the button on the remote that says TV/VCR.
