So my dog has this treat ball and we put treats in it. STUPID of me because I didn't check the inside of the treat ball on a regular basis. My dog ate about 2 pieces of treat and I noticed that it didn't look right..it was moldy!!!
-He's active, he was playing, running around.
-Vomited once...it was the treat that he just ate mixed with whitish substance with a phlegm consistency. Has not vomited since then.
-Feces was normal in the morning. No diarrhea..so far..
-No Neurological signs...eyes normal, not hypersalivating, gait is normal.

I;m keeping an eye out for him right now, I'm not sure if I should bring him to the emergency hosp. since I haven't witnessed any symptoms that patients get when they get toxicity.

Any suggestions? I would really appreciate it.

He's healthy. He's active. He threw up the stuff that was offensive. You probably don't have a problem. If his behavior does change, then take him to the vet.

Dogs have two things going for them -- their bodies can handle foods that people won't eat. It comes from their wolf -like ancestors. Better than that, they can smell when something isn't right and won't eat it. If they get it by mistake, they get rid of it. That's why you dog threw up the contaminated dog treat.

I hope you threw the toy away.

I have never had this problem, but if she is acting normal, I wouldn't be too worried. Call the vet and ask if this is something you should really worry about or if it is safe to just keep and eye on the dog.
Watch the dog closely for the next 24 hours so if there are any symptoms, you can get it to the vet quickly.

I think he's fine. Mold isn't usually very problematic.
My daughter was growing a "mold garden" as a project, and was very upset when our dog ate it! He had no ill effects.
Dogs vomit easily, and since the treat came up with some mucus or something, I'm pretty sure he got rid of the irritant with no harm done.

If he only ate two of the treats and then he vomited, he probably has none of it left in him. I would venture to say he will be fine. Better keep a little closer eye on the treat ball and not leave treats in it again.

I am sure he would show signs of being sick if it were going to cause a problem!! There is no telling what they eat when we are not around!! May be even worst than the yuky treat your dog found!!!!
