It's normal. All dogs lose their teeth around that age. He is fine.

Yep, 4 months is when they start to lose their baby teeth, and the adult teeth will grow in to replace them. There's no need to worry. Once that teething starts, he can lose several at a time, and not only does it look funny, but he may lose interest in food for awhile, might get kinda cranky, and sometimes even bleed from his mouth a bit. It's all perfectly normal.

He'll probably want to chew more than ever right now, so be sure to give him plenty of chew-toys ... hard rubber toys like Kongs are helpful, especially if you freeze them.

And don't worry too much if you don't actually find the baby teeth he's losing ... he'll most likely just swallow them while he's eating ... again, it's nothing to be concerned about!

Your pup will be fine. I'm sure that he has lost more than that one baby tooth and you never knew it. His adult teeth are coming in and he will lose his puppy teeth. If by chance he doesn't lose all his puppy teeth by 6 months old you can take him to the vet and they can pull them out. It is just a growing up process.

He just lost one of his 'puppy' teeth. He will be losing more and really want to be chewing. Take a rope toy with the knots in each end, soak it in chicken broth and freeze it. Then give it to him. The chicken broth will taste good to him and encourage his chewing on the rope toy instead of your things. Having it frozen it numbs the discomfort of teething. Just like an infants teething ring!
