Not all people with adequate or better intelligence actually use that gift. Also, the advertisers would probably balk, as their shares would decrease. I'd say it is just like the rest of life--keep your filters in place, clean, and functioning properly. Oh yes, I forgot to answer the first question--I have no idea what I would score now, but as a younger person, I believe my score was 148 or thereabouts. It has probably decreased from disuse..
Edit: Maybe the reason there is a disproportionately high IQ score among the answerers is that the ones with the higher numbers want to brag about them and the ones with lower numbers will not want to advertise the fact, especially when you pose your question in the subtly inflammatory way you have done. You scare off the 90-100 crowd, who are offended by your cutting them off arbitrarily. So I think the way you posed the question will be the answer to your quandary. FYI, the 148 figure was from a test (I don't remember which) taken in 6th grade to enter a gifted program. I have not taken an IQ test since then, as I think they, as well as the very silly MMPI, are somewhat culturally biased and thus not particularly accurate.

An interesting requirement. It is unfair, though. Besides, intelligence is different from education. The smartest person in the world could still be a troll. A way to filter out some trolls? How about not answering their questions. By the way, the average I.Q. test is not entirely accurate. A person's intelligence cannot be measured on one single I.Q. test.
Oh, and to answer your first question...yes. Last time I checked, I was somewhere around the 130's.

I don't know the name of the test exactly but it consisted of abstract type of problem solving,....more of your lateral thinking big picture concepts.
They have done studies on Governmental NASA scientists to see where they fit in their problem solving mentality......most of the individuals are your vertical type of thinkers.......where logic reigns supreme.......but they lack vision in the wider spectrum ,.....this is why the government is seeking outside help with the more creative type genius that will build us more quickly toward the future in space travel and technology as a whole,...........but none the less we need both the vertical and lateral mind to work together to really accomplish anything worth it's salt.
I scored a 129 when i was 25...........it was cool to know that i was accomplished in seeing the big picture.......this i have always known...I'm a visionary with a twist of the analytical mind set that helps me discern and understand things people don't recognize in most part....Like the human condition and how science and the other worldly ( Spirituality) fit together......that's why I'm on Yahoo Answers...to share and learn my self.

Oh, you'd be quite surprised how many trailer parks and trolls can score waaaaaay beyond IQ 100 ^^..
Thing is, you have to understand, these "trolls" that you're experiencing is really out of personality as opposed to intelligence..
By the way, since you asked, last I checked, my IQ is somewhere in the 140s..

IQ was 134 when last tested. I live in a trailer park. What's wrong with that? At least I have a roof over my head, running water, sewage, electricity, etc....
*Edit
I was last tested at my current age. It was an online test, hence less accurate, as you say. Have you ever thought that this kind of community, specifically this category, would hold an appeal to those with higher IQ's?

I think people should be free to open any account they want, regardless of I.Q. Some of those trolls can be pretty entertaining. My I.Q. is 134, and I was tested around age 21, in the psychology department of my college.

Yes, people are stupid and they don't like Aaron Carter. During my fist Psychology class in UCLA last year, the teacher gave us IQ test to each one of us (it was a huge class) and my score was 138.

Every time I take an IQ test it is around 135 which is fine with me. But only highly intelligent in linguistics.
Ask me about mathematics or science or history and I'm around average.

No, because some mentally handicapped people have a LOT more brilliant things to say than some of the people on here with high IQs.

I don't even know what my I.Q. Is. I guess it might be a little over 100. Perhaps I'm delusional, but most of the theists make me feel smart. I guess that's not really saying much though.
