bite the heads off nails? Because I am there brothers and sisters!!!!!

2007-09-27 18:20:42 · 13 answers · asked by Praire Crone 7 in Health Diet & Fitness

I am not going to break my diet as I have lost 100+ pounds in the last 9 months but I really thought the hunger pains would have backed off by now. Sometimes it is really hard not to go over the wall.... If you know what I mean.

I understand your pain, Ms Crone. Just think of it this way, every 100 calories that you cheat with means two hours additional excercise that you're going to have to do in order to make up for that moment of weakness. so you're constantly having to decide if the added WORK is worth the tiny bit of indulgence and pleasure that you get by cheating.

I admire you for what you have done to make yourself healthy. consider that, too. ALL of your friends and family are backing you in this fight and THEY are your support team, Even though they WON'T berate you for cheating, YOU will do so and YOU are your OWN toughest critic ( as we ALL are ). Having been skiny my whole life, I DO realize that I have NO knowledge of the amount of sacrifice and pain that you are going through. Overwieght people have always hated me for that and I fully understand why, too. That is why I have always been there to support my friends who ARE making attempts to lose the extra weight and I always will be there to pick them up when they fall victim to temptation, and help them BACK onto the road to a healthier lifestyle. What needs to be developed is some form of munchy that IS filling, has NO calories, NO fats, No nutrition what soever, TASTES good, and will satisfy the hunger cravings. Unfortunately, nutritionists have NOT seen fit to develope such an item. Until one comes along then the only thing you are left with is having to suffer through it until your stomach, the organ, not the adbomen, shrinks enough to where a tiny bit of food will leave you feeling full after having eaten just a tiny bit of food.

Isn' t that a b**** about diets !
You want to lose weight but , you feel like you gotta starve yourself to do it !
The best advice I have to offer makes a lot of sense .
Forget the regimental " Breakfast , Lunch + Supper " .
Instead , eat 5 times a day , eating smaller quantities than the usual breakfast , lunch + supper . This gives your body a better chance to burn up calories .
The most important meal of the day is still BREAKFAST ! It provides your body with fuel in the furnace to give energy for the day . And , you' ve got all day to burn it off !
Remember 10 servings daily of the fruit & vegetable variety !

LOL! You betcha.

I just put this new brand of low cal tortilla in the toaster oven with a bit of tomato sauce, a sprinkle of no-fat cheese and a cuple of snippets of green pepper and it tasted like crap. There was a wasted 100 cals, so I'm joining you tonight typing away ... anything to stay away from the fridge.

to ease the hunger pains why dont you try a bowl of fruit salad, that is very filling & won't add any fat to you,be careful of consuming too many apples though as they are full of sugar,or you could try a nice smoothie, blend some fruits, etc, keep up the good work & don't be too hard on yourself

V-8 juice fixes this for me. So does a small piece of apple with some peanut butter on it. Not a lot, just a little.

Don't call it a diet. It's healthy living. If you think of it that way it will be MUCH easier:) At least it has helped me.

Drink herbal teas. They are good for you (antioxidants etc for glowing skin and healthy organs), taste good and have almost no calories.
