you may have a bad door jam switch on it,and every time it looses contact its like putting the key in it again or opening a door on it,those switches don't cost much ,i own a 98 model and it had already been through this, all i replaced was the switch and it works fine now.good luck with it.

You have a door switch that need adjusting. When you open a door, that's what's suppose to happen. But not while driving.

Electrical probs can take alot of narrowing down, but by what it sounds i would check the button in your door jam, that turns the enterior lght on.. um, it could be loose.. (connection) or not ground, or switch broke.
