Your question is biased and sarcastic.Your going to church or any where doesn't make a funk of difference to the world.Think and come again with a sensible question.

By some of the responses i have gotten from Atheists, i would have to say no, not evidenced by anything i have seen.
And if R&S is a place where people come because misery loves company, then why wasn't i informed of this before now.

And does the fact that you are here and think like that make you miserable?

Atheism has philosophical roots, but it does not mean they are miserable. Its just that they are firm believers in the belief of no God.

They do not believe in the distinction from good and evil, just that there is "no design, no purpose, no evil and no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference", as said by current famous atheist Richard Dawkins.

Only Christians believe that misery, and suffering must be actively combated because it is considered part of the world's "evils". Further reasons behind that is theological and philosophical in nature, involving the nature of sin and God, which I'm not inclined to pursue at this current time.

One of the reasons why I am a Christian.

No, Christians have to go through a lot more anguish.
This world is run by the devil, so if your a person who embraces his ways, you work for him. He makes it easier for atheists and harder for Christians. God is not like us, he won't make things bad for someone just because they deny his existence. God loves the sinner. Jesus didn't come to punish and judge us, he came to save us. People don't realize the devil knows you better than your own mother, he's been studying you ever since you where born. He knows your likes, dislikes, desires, and he knows how your brain works. So it's easy for him to make life convenient for you. Ever notice how a Christian works for others and an atheist works to benefit the world not the people. That's generalizing, I know but that's mostly how it is. Christians are usually the ones that had to go through a lot and I mean really bad things, and atheists usually are sheltered from the bad stuff. You know how they say "if you can survive in Philadelphia, you can survive anywhere"? well that's not all so untrue. Where I live is bad, it's always been bad even before it was the murder-homicide capital of the U.S. Imagine what I had to go through growing up and I'm 18. I'v been Christian since I was a little boy and I still am. That's faith. Almost every atheist person I know is caucasion and is lazy and loves to do everything that is not good. I'm not saying that all white ppl are lazy atheists, that's just who I know. I'v been through hell and have been ridiculed and outcast all the time when I was a kid because people for some reason don't like to hear me speak about God. So it's way harder for a religious person to live on earth than an atheist person.

You're a stereotypical person who cannot fend for themselves with logical thought and research something before you speak your mind. You'd rather take everyone thought of what an atheist is and project the thought that we as atheists hear time and time again and it is wrong. I do not live a miserable life. I live my life as I see fit within the law and boundaries of my moral and rational thinking. I work, I go to college, I am socially, emotionally, physically stable, and I accomplish my goals in life.

Okay, so:

1) No, not every atheist people are not miserable
2) There are religious people that despise their beliefs, still are miserable.
3) To the religious people who kindly establishes that atheists wishes to have religion, it's not true. Not having a religion doesn't mean you are not a good person who cares for others. People should be honest, tolerant, decent, moral, loving, caring, and a long etc. because they are PEOPLE. Just because. If additionally they wish to have a religious belief, that's just perfect. Really, good for them.
But please, don't try to convince not religious people that they are not good people just because they don't have a religion, or even worst, because they don't believe in YOUR religion. That's called intolerance.

Yes, I believe I would be quite depressed if I thought that there was no God to love me unconditionally. I believe I would be quite upset if I thought there was no one to pray to at night with all of my worries and thoughts. I believe I would be quite scared if I thought there was no heaven. That's why many atheists (or at least the ones I have dealt with) are, in general, a bit less happy than Christians.

If you don't believe in God...life seems rather depressing.

No. Misery has nothing to do with the lack of belief in any gods. I am an atheist and I am very happy about it.

Please do not project your feelings on atheists.

Misery sounds like a whore, so I'd go hand in hand with her.
