I think it happens to most people. In fact, if we didn't dream about things that sometimes end up happening in the future, it would be odd. We dream many dreams every night, and many of those contain experiences that can happen in real life in some way. So even if you only remember, say, 50 dreams per year, chances are something you dreamt will be similar (or exactly) what happens at some point in the future. We tend to notice when this happens, but not notice all the times it doesn't. We see the "eerie" hits, but not the misses. Although, to your credit, I think you do notice the misses because you did say "rare occasions", so you get points for being observant! Anyway, it's normal, and yet still fun and intriguing when it happens. ;)

Wow, no, this doesn't happen to me. My mom is like that though, sort of.... She once dreamt, and told me before it happened, that my someone close in the family would die.... No more than two weeks later that happened. Your case may be more than that though. My advice, maybe meaningless, is to ask this question again but with more detail, like give a quick example of what you got a glimpse of... Maybe a real expert on dream interpretation could tell you what you wanted to know.

Yes, I was dreaming one night of a man, I couldn't see who he was, but I could see the gun in his hand, and he brought it to his head and shot himself, I jolted out of bed and the gun fired, to the phone ringing, I heard my mom answer it, and her good friend she worked with (which I didn't even know) shot himself in the head that night. I couldn't eat sleep or barley talk for a while after that, why I would dream that I have no idea, I didn't know him, but it still bothered me I saw that.

Such as dae-ja-vue?
Yes. It does happen. Everyone I am sure experiences this at least once. It tends to happen more when we are younger because we are more open minded, and innocent but as we grow older and more experienced, it tends to happen less frequently.

>>Sometimes yes...as I'm sure a lot of others do to...
>>I keep dream diaries....About a year before 9/11
I had one particular vivid dream which pretty much outlayed what happened....I'm sure I'm not the only one this happened to.

Given known data sometimes your brain can arrive at a likely outcome(extrapolate). You remember these because they happen.
