my dog hated fruit ! I would always eat some infront of him , he'd beg for it but when I offered it to him he'd just sniff , give me the funniest look and walk off. it was the funniest thing, you'd have to see it. anyway as with veggies there are some fruits that dogs cant have, i know that grapes/raisins are bad for dogs, avacados, also fruits with alot of acids like oranges and tomatoes and before you feed any dog fruit you have to get the seeds out first because the seeds can be toxic.

Most fruits are fine for dogs. My inlaws used to feed their dog almost any type of fruit or veggie.
Dogs cannot have grapes or raisins, contrary to popular belief. There is something in them that can cause toxicity; the experts aren't sure what but the research shows it is not safe for dogs. The same goes for onions and garlic; but these cause hemolytic anemia if given regularly over a period of time; grapes only need to be fed once or twice.
Some dogs (like my inlaws' dog) will only eat certain fruits or veggies; and sometimes they have to be a certain size. Sounds weird but it is true. Their dog loved watermelon and cantaloupe, but ONLY if it was cut into very small pieces (less than an inch across). Any bigger, she would not eat it. LOL

I'm 13 too and I just got a budgie! They're smart, cheap and you can teach them to talk! Sadly, not so many places stock birds but I'm sure you could find a pet shop or breeder in your area. I've also had several hamsters over the years and they can be a lot of fun but I've always been frightened of them biting me so I've never really held my hamsters before. I've got a rabbit too and they can be a lot of fun as well but mine just wants to eat all the time! Other animals you could get: - Guinea Pig(s) - Gerbil - Rat - Mouse - Chinchilla - Canary - Snake - Ferret - Lizard (e.g Bearded Dragon) Obviously out of that list there are some that are difficult to look after, especially if you've never owned a pet before and you're only 13. I'd go for a budgie, because they're more exciting than hamsters but cost roughly the same (though hamsters are probably cuter!).

Dogs don't NEED fruit in their diet, they just like it.....NO grapes or raisins.
My dogs love watermelon, apples and peaches. For whatever reason all their food has to be in small, tiny pieces.
The good one is they both love chips too. BUT one of them will not eat a chip UNLESS it has dip on it. They are more spoiled than my real kids were.

veggies are added to dog food to balance out their diets and be a filler to the food also.
I use to have a dog that LOVED apples.. I would hold the apple for her and she would eat it just like a person

No grapes, tomatos or onions.
Dogs being carnivores don't really need fruit and veggies.

I think dog food companies put that stuff on their packaging to appeal to humans, not because dogs really need peas and carrots.

i dont know about your dog but anything that falls on the floor is fair game for my dog. She loves grapes because she can play with it before chewing. Strangely enough, she hates lettuce
