I have returned my truck to the dealer twice and he said this is normal. When starting from complete stop it seems that the transmission has a slight bump just when starting (as if it was not completely in gear --- has anyone else noticed this who has the same vehicle. It has 9000 miles and has done this since I got it --- It does not seem to get worse but my previous toyota was completely smooth and I can notice the difference

i have not seen this issue before but if you have an issue I would go higher than the dealership and contact Nissan due to the dealership's steps to satisfy you as the customer . As a technician myself I always try to duplicate the concern before i call the customer crazy and say its normal.. something as simple as a test drive with customer helps me get on the same page and identify their concern(s) .. Which will assures the customer that the vehicle will be repaired properly ....

Your transmission is called the RE5R05A It is a great gear box. I have seen only one fail brand new truck. I am with the other nissan Tech. Ride with the customer duplicate the problem then get another 4 CYL truck see if it does the same and call nissan tech line. At Nissan dealership Technicians on the shop floor are devoted to Keeping you as a customer. So find a technician/service manager you can talk to. I would not have any customers if I blew you off. This was the selling dealer? or the one closest to your house? Should not make a difference but selling dealer has a vested interest in keeping you buying Nissan Trucks.
