Good question. She was not sinless, but was the chosen one to bring the Savior into the world. Therefore she should be called blessed, but needed the Savior just the same as the rest of us.

Mary was human - not sinless. She was recognizing the Savior that she carried in her womb. And she showed her humbleness by saying, 'My Savior"..... Mary needed a Savior also.

This disproves the theory of the total absence of original sin in Mary. If God was her Savior, then she must have been a sinner in order to be saved. Not one scripture ever hints of such an idea- that Mary was sinless. Luke 11:27 says,"And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, (Speaking to Jesus) Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.(Talking about Mary) Verse 28 goes on to say,"But he (The Lord) said,Yea rather, Blessed are they who hear the Word of God and keep it. According to this scripture, this blessing pronounced on Mary, the mother of Jesus, proves that only man places her above others. Jesus, the Son of God did not. He said that they who hear the Word of God, and keep it, are the real blessed ones. Mary needed a Savior just like you and I, He just so happened to be her child.

Mary was a descendant of Adam which made her in need of a savior. Even though she was a young maiden and had not had intercourse before Jesus birth this did not dismiss her from inheriting Adamic sin. Jesus was God's son who was transferred into the womb of Mary which merited him without sin. Mary needed a savior as she was imperfect due to inheritance from our forefather Adam.

Where are you getting that she was sinless? Everyone except Christ is a sinner and needs the Savior. She was good and pure and chosen to carry the unborn Christ. Not "sinless".

O.k...you need to stop with this issue. Mary IS NOT sinless.
End of story.
For a top contributor your questions aren't that smart.
You've just answered your own question, she did need to be saved, hence the reason why she asked.

Mary was not sinless.
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God"
Romans 3:23
This is an example of men ignoring the clear teaching of God in order to assert a man made tradition.

Mary was the chosen of God and blessed. but the Bible says none, no not 1 can enter the kingdom of heaven without the saving grace and blood of Jesus Christ. Mary was blessed beyond any women, but she was still a human and ALL must accept and acknowledge Christ as savior. Mary obeyed Gods word , just as Jesus did when he was baptist ed by John the Baptist. John said to Jesus who am i to baptist you when i have i need of baptist of you. Jesus said let it so to fulfill the scriptures. Mary was chosen and blessed but she was still a human and needed and accepted her Sons saving grace

Jesus was miraculously conceived inside Mary, who was a virgin at the time. That is the Biblical concept of the virgin birth. The Bible does not even hint that there was anything significant about Mary’s conception. If we examine this concept logically, Mary’s mother would have to be immaculately conceived as well. How could Mary be conceived without sin if her mother was sinful? The same would have to be said of Mary’s grandmother, great-grandmother, and so on. So, in conclusion, the immaculate conception is not a Biblical teaching.

Why would you say Mary was sinless?

She was obviously and extraordinary woman but nowhere does the Bible ever imply she had no sins whatsoever in her entire life.
