Its probably your wisdom tooth. Even though the root may be growing in sideways, the main part can still protrude and come through the gum. It started to for me and I had it removed. It was much easier to remove because it was almost coming out of the gum. Either way, you should go to a dentist and get x rays.

Sounds like your wisdom teeth are abcessed. it's just a bad infection but it can cause other problems like ear aches/infection, and sore throat too. You need to see the dentist for antibiotic and possible removal of wisdom teeth.

Go to the dentist is the first step - it could just be your wisdoms making themselves known, impacted wisdom teeth (ie growing in sideways) can cause mischief

should get checked out by the dentist. Its hard to get back there and clean them good, and food particles have a tendency to get stuck causing inflammation/infection, especially w/ the wisdom teeth back there still

Sounds like you have impacted wisdom teeth. Get them looked at before it gets worse.

i had this same problem about a year ago, it turned out that it was an infection of the root of my tooth, i had to have to tooth pulled. go to the dentist immediately, the infection could get into your blood and could potentaly be very VERY harmful.
