Something wrong with your question? If you say that Christian God is a jealous God I believe He is. But if you're asking me if Christian God don't want the people to have the power to see, I believe that 's wrong.
I believe He wants us to see the power of truth.
I believe He wants us to know and see the truth because by the truth will set us free and be powerful in spirit.
I believe He wants us to see and open our common sense.

He is a jealous God. He is telling us that we cannot serve two master. It is illogical to worship to an images made of stone than to worship a living God.

Commonsense, you also fell jealous if your friend, partner, family replaces you with someone else, don't you think so?

We are God's children, God loves us as we love him. Like any parent if we lose a child, if our child loves someone more than us. We would be jealous and angry at that person, this is what God is like because his is our father and we are his children. The power is not ours to see, but to have faith and believe in One who guards us against all odds.

It was an act of obedience.

Let's look at this from another "earthly" perspective.
You have two children. You teach them the ways, nurture them, provide for them. When they get eighteen, they call someone else their mother. They give all the credit of being raised to this other woman. They deny you as their mother.
How would you feel? Angry? Jealous? Do your children have the power to "see?"

Now imagine how God feels when you deny Him.

He is jealous in the respect that He won't allow you to serve Him and another God. He wants everything that you are devoted to Him and everything that He is. God gives discernment and wisdom and understanding and i consider all those things to fall under the power to see.

Well, it kinda says something about the mindset of the people who dreamed him up, doesn't it? They were simply projecting their own prejudices on to a god.

For those who are denying that the Bible God is like this, have you actually read the Old Testament? He says in his own words that he's a jealous god. And the anger speaks for itself -- floods, wiping out entire cities, you name it.

Wow......
I see God as a loving God if He wasn't He wouldn't of sent His son to pay for our sins.

I also see God as a patient God. He cares about all of us and wants us all to follow Him and have eternal life.

God has opened my eyes more than I can imagine. I see things in this world in a different view than I did before. I see people in a different view as well.

you're being far too negative tonight, you are looking at the glass half-empty; he is angry but he is SLOW to anger.

Sara - with patience comes good things ...

The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. - Nahum 1:3 KJV.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

What is wrong with love?

Zephaniah 3:17
The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”

I think you are referring to the Jewish God of the Old Testament. Read the New Testament.
