My daughter will be two this week. She is super smart knows her ABC's since she was 18 months, speaks clearly etc etc. She is in a home daycare and with two other kids and I think its time for her to be in a school setting. There is a local accredited YMCA education center that is awesome includes spanish in the curriculum and only charges 148/month. I currently pay 150/month plus provide EVERYTHING! Which is another reason I am moving her. Does anyone had any experiences with LaPetite or Kindercare and also what is the tuition costs like? I looked into some of the local Montessorri's but for my daughters age they don't go all day and the prices are way to high for us right now. Any input you all may have would help thanks!

On the whole, the chains are not the best choice. They are profit driven and make decisions based on that, rather than what is necessarily best for the kids. They also tend to have high staff turnover. I'd lean towards the Y.

No matter how bright, a two year old does not need a "school" setting Kids that age need lots of time to explore the world, play and learn how to get along with each other. Make sure that you have her in a program with a curriculum for 2's , not one watered down from a preschool curriculum.

La Petite and Kindercare may be chains- and supposedly they all have the same currculum and criteria- but #1. they Don't- my granddaughter has been in 2- 1 in Las Vegas and 1 in Nashville and they are totally different. and #2. check them out very carefully- some are great and some are downright terrible! My daughter pays about $147 a week for her 3 yr old- it's more the younger the child

My son is 4. He attends La Petite 5 days full-time and I pay $650 a month. All the meals are included. It's a good school, but some locations can be rather dumpy, so make sure you tour the schools first.

im not exactly sure where you are located, but im in Nebraska we have a La petite academy and to warn you, it sucks. the systems they use suck and all the children i know who have been placed in that environment dont learn anything. I didnt like that place at all. We also have kindercare here and I have only heard good things about that, i went and looked at the local ones but ended up picking the La petite, which was a big mistake. At kindercare they are always bringing up work to show and talking about what they learned... i would deffinetly rething La petite.....too expensive and useless!!

She's two.
Let her be a child. She doesn't need to be in a "school setting" at two. She needs parents to raise her full time and let her play and use her imagination.
