right on,spiritual all the way.religions are manmade ,God speaking directly to us is not.his conscience speaks to ours to guide us down the right path of love.no confusion of dogma of bias and personal agenda from long ago.there are good things in the text ,but not all

well im both. im religious because i follow a religion and yes im spiritual due to the belief of a higher being and thus of all that is from that.
hope that helps x
ps: you cant see a reason to be so firm with a religion because you havent as yet met the truth nor asked the questions and gotten the answers.
if god came to you directly and said only eat white paper all day long to enter heaven im sure ull give it a shot lol my point is is that with firm belief comes the action and thus ur real dilema isnt with the reasoning of rules etc but with the religion itself...to find the rite religion is easy provided ur open minded enough and want to actually find the truth....and so are u?
hope that helps x

I am spiritual, I believe there are some good things about religion in general (the moral and ethical concepts, right from wrong, family unit etc...) but my upbringing was mixed between religions and then stopped when I was 11, so it's difficult to say I'm religious.

I'm definitely more spiritual, as an agnostic I don't know what exactly God (or gods) is, and I tend to think none of the religions have a true view of him by themselves, and possibly not even all together. At the same time, the right half of my brain tells me there's something. I can't ignore half of what I am. Only half of me is satisfied by logic, the other half needs fed to, and that's where spirituality comes in.

Spiritual, in the sense that the universe and meaning, and origins of conciousness and life fascinate me, that many images and ideas from different religions inspire and intrigue me.
Not religious because I believe our experience of the divine comes directly from the divine rather than from somebody else's interpretation, let alone their rulebook. And I have found no doctrine which sits well with me, or any need to comfort myself with the company of other people who choose to adopt a doctrine.

So not to be lumped in with the religious stereotype and ridiculous moral boundries, I call myself spiritual. Make my own rules in a sense. Take my own philosophy on Christianity and apply it to my life, in hopes of going to a better place after I die.

Neither - really. I am a Christ-follower. I don't attend a denominational church - tho I grew up Catholic. It's really all about a one on one personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. I am not "religious", but I am interested in things of the spirit.

Can I have a logical category? I do not believe in floating spirits around me. Having read the bible and quran, it is easy to see that those gods are murderers. (No god would ever be so cruel). God kills relentlessly and Allah has us kill unbelievers for him. So I am neither. I am a proponent of good ethics, but logically see that religion has nothing to do with it!
