my brother younger brother is giving me the silent trewatment. he wont talk to me. i say hios name and he wont even respond. we live in the same house so this is difficult. he constantly tells me that he hates me and to leave him alone. i walk into his room and he immedietly says leave. i dont know what ive done. he has a friend that was initially my friend and he always says ur just jealous that he likes me more..etc. hes so irritable but he doesnt even talk to me anymore...what should i do?

Sounds like he's upset about something, but that doesn't mean you did anything wrong. Maybe he's misunderstood something. Any chance this friend told him something you said previously? I think you should try to just say to him..."Obviously you're upset at me for something, but I'm not sure why. I really want to be able to talk to about it and when you're ready to, let me know" And then, just give him his space. The fact that you continue to pursue him, makes it easier for him to continue to ignore you because he is still in control. So, let him know you care and that you are willing to work whatever it is out, but then leave it up to him. Maybe once he sees you're not going to "buy into" his behavior anymore, he'll come to you. Yep. Brothers do that. He'll get over it, he'll get tired of being mad at you. Just hang back, be patient....offer to take him to the movies or to play ball or something. He'll come around.

He's really a hard headed. Just leave him alone for a while, he'll talk when he's cool.
