I used to tell my mom that I was at my apartment when I wasn't so she wouldn't wait up for me at night. A few weeks ago I told my b/f that I went to a party, and I wasnt driving, but in reality I was driving. I even called to check in with him at 3 in morning to tell him i would be goin home soon. I only had two drinks at the party, and left sober because I had to drive, however, he is ticked because I lied about driving. Last week an old guy friend asked me to hang out after work. So we went to the computer lab and i printed some things off and went home. He continues to text me, and one day while on campus, he invited me to lunch before his one class. I went to be nice, and only saw him for 10 minutes. I didn't my boyfriend but then this guy texts me and my boyfriend saw, and said I was sneaking around with other guys. I love my boyfriend, and I never want to do anything to hurt him, I should have told him this guy was texting me so he wouldn't have gotten mad. Am I a liar?

You are a liar, and the worst part of it is, is that you are lieing to yourself. You like the attention the other guy is giving you, and you figure if you can white wash it no one will have to know the whole truth. One day all the lies will catch up with you, and then you can lie about that also. You could be dead, because you only had 1,2,3 or are you lieing about how many drinks you had to. After awhile no one will believe you, and then you will wonder why.

Well the definition of lying is not telling the truth. You said you were at your apartment when you really weren't. You also said you weren't driving but really you were. So by definition you are a liar.
A compulsive liar is somone who lies constantly about anything. It can be from little things like you not driving or more serious.
