The dude already had plans (lame though they may be). If he was interested, he would have suggested another time or asked you out later. If he wasn't interested, he would have done just as he did.

To summarize, yes most guys are jerks, but you can't call a guy a jerk just because he doesn't want to go out with you.

That's like calling a girl frigid just because she won't sleep with you.

Unfair, right?

Probably. At least sometimes. At 15, most of the time, at least according to girls. We're more interested in laser tag, sports, whatever. When we get older we get slightly less jerky--well some of us do, because we start to share some of the same interests--or at least have a somewhat common goal. If we're smart, we know that by being slightly less jerky, we can be pleasantly rewarded. Some of us, if we have a good upbringing even develope a profound appreciation for women and actually enjoy making them happy in a slightly less self-serving way. Some of us just stay jerky indefinitely. Sorry. Basically you have to set your standards and don't settle for anything less. Good luck.

No, only the jerks are jerks. Alot of girls will ask a guy out because they think the guy is hot, and not because the guy has proven himself to be worthy of the girl's attention. Don't stop being brave, and don't stop taking leaps of faith, but just know going in that not all guys are worth it.

It just depends.. on if he's into you or not #1.
#2 if your not already dating the guy or good friends, you can't expect him to drop friends and plans for you . He may have had these plans for months or went with a girl he liked and just didn't want to hurt your feelings telling you. Don't judge everyone else over one experience.. and try not to be so judge mental about guys. You'll meet a lot of jerks but the ones that aren't are worth dealing with the ones who are. Good Luck!

no. he was a freshman so he was immature, and he didn't know what to say so he said he was going to play laser tag. i bet if you asked him that now he would either say yes he would like to or no he doesn't want to because he is hopefully no longer immature.

We're not jerks just insanely clueless, I've confused plenty of possible relationships that way.

However if the real question is "do we act like jerks" hell yes.

Of course not. I happen to have snagged a great guy. Lots of things are situational, not intentional.
