Not by my standards, cuz mine do. They sleep where we let them tho, not where ever they feel like it. It is MY bed after all :)

Dogs being allowed on furniture in general is a matter of personal preference. There is no right or wrong answer, it's what you personally feel comfortable with.
Keep one thing in mind. If the dog is allowed on the bed, then they will always assume this is the case. If you suddenly get a partner and the partner objects to the dog in bed, then you will have a problem in trying to retrain the dog that the bed is off limits.

No, it's perfectly fine.. If your dog dominates you in other aspects of your life.. is pushy and bossy, then I would kick him off the bed.. Bump him off the couch and generally let him know I was boss.. but to sleep with your dog if you have no issues at all isn't a big deal.
I do tell people not to let the dog sleep with their kids.. Sometimes dogs can feel very packy with kids and decide that they want to move up and over the kid.. Allowing them to sleep on the kid's bed enforces that..

No it is fine. The reason people say it is bad is because it lets the dog think it is your equal so it might try to dominate you in other areas. Personally my dogs have always slept with me and I've never had an issue.

Depends what you mean by bad. The germs or the dominance issue.
Most dogs are pretty clean, & if your dog is healthy you won't catch anything from them.
If a dogs behaviour is correct and they aren't showing signs of dominance then letting them share your bed isnt wrong.
I do, and when I ask my puppy to get off she stays off.

I let my dogs sleep with me, so I personally don't see a problem. It mainly depends on who you are, if you like your dogs sleeping with you, continue doing it, but if you dont, you can try and train them not to sleep on your bed.

It depends on the dog and on your personality. I have a large male dog that I would never allow to sleep with me, because I am a rather submissive thing. He needs me to be his pack leader.

I don't think it's bad at all. As long as your dog isn't showing any instances of resource guarding (guarding the bed from you or others) than it is perfectly acceptable to have it sleep with you.

my dogs, both of them, get in the bed with me in the morning after my boyfriend goes to work, she tries to snuggle as close as she can to me and he just wants some space to hiself so he hides in the corner of the bed. granted they thing they are allowed to get in the bed at all times of the day.... so i guess there is a downfall to it all
