They go to Hell because they do not believe in the correct version of Jesus.
Mormonism is a polytheistic religion. They believe that their members can one day become gods. This is blasphemy and a sin and goes against God.

Mormons believe that the World to Come is really a continuation of the life you are now living. You will go to the place you've lived for / desired your entire life. That is both the mercy of God, and the curse of God depending upon the condition of your heart.
Those who have desired participation in God, will be transformed into that image and partake of that nature, as it suggests in 1 John 3:1-3 and 2 Peter 1:3-6 and elsewhere in the NT. This is what Mormon "godhood" is all about.
Those who desire something else will receive according to that desire. In the Mormon view, God is merciful, and blesses each of us the most He can, according to our ability and desire to receive. We are in no position to complain about what we get -- since God, who knows our heart, blesses us with what we wanted from the start.
God is most kind, most merciful -- even to "Jack Mormons."

To the same place as everyone else. Either Paradise or Spirit Prison. Those who are worthy will be missionaries to those who did not hear the Gospel in mortality. At the final judgement, our souls and gorified bodies will be reunited, and we will have the reward we merit and desire.
